About Dr. Sam Osmanagich
Full Biography
Dr. Sam Osmanagich, Ph.D., is a scientist, researcher, and author who has spent the last two decades at the forefront of one of the most ambitious archaeological projects in Europe: the investigation of the Bosnian Pyramid Complex in Visoko, Bosnia-Herzegovina. He holds a doctorate in social sciences with a specialization in the study of ancient civilizations and their cosmological systems.
In 2005, Dr. Sam Osmanagich identified pyramid-shaped structures near the town of Visoko and launched what would become the largest active archaeological project in the Balkans. Since then, he has served as the Principal Investigator of the project, overseeing 20 years of continuous research, including archaeological excavation, geophysical mapping, and environmental analysis. Under his leadership, the Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun Foundation was established to coordinate scientific studies and public education on the site.
His research spans multiple disciplines, including:
- Geodesy and orientation analysis (e.g., pyramids aligned with true north)
- Archaeoastronomy and sacred geometry (e.g., Fibonacci sequences, golden ratios)
- Environmental science (e.g., high negative ion concentrations, EM field stability in underground tunnels)
- Stratigraphy and radiometric dating of tunnel sediments and features
Dr. Sam Osmanagich has published a growing number of scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and academic platforms. His recent work includes:
- “True North Across Civilizations” – a comparative geospatial study of pyramid orientation across five continents
- “Spiral Geometry in Ancient Design” – on harmonic geometry in the Egyptian and Bosnian pyramids
- “Ravne Tunnels as a Regenerative Environment” – reporting on environmental measurements in the subterranean complex
- “Establishing Deep Time” – presenting multi-method dating evidence for archaeological and speleological features
He has made these findings available through journals like Acta Scientific, as well as open-access repositories such as EarthArXiv, Zenodo, and Research Square.
As the author of more than 20 books, Dr. Sam Osmanagich has shared his insights on ancient civilizations, pyramid science, and symbolic architecture across a global audience. His books have been translated into several languages and remain influential in both academic and popular circles.
Dr. Sam Osmanagich has lectured and presented at conferences on archaeoastronomy, geophysics, sacred geometry, and ancient architecture, earning invitations to speak in the U.S., Europe, South America, and Asia. His work challenges conventional views of prehistory by proposing a deeper and more complex understanding of ancient technological and cosmological knowledge.
By combining empirical scientific methods with a cross-cultural, interdisciplinary lens, he advocates for a broader view of history—one that acknowledges the possibility of advanced knowledge in the ancient world.
He continues to live and work between Sarajevo and Visoko, where he leads ongoing research, site development, and educational programming for both the scientific community and the public.
